Will it hurt?

This is probably one of the most commonly asked questions at our shop. Unfortunately, there is no definitive answer to this question. Every individual experiences pain differently, therefore what hurts for one client may not necessarily hurt another. The most important thing to do when getting pierced is to relax as much as possible and concentrate on breathing slowly and steadily – this will do the most in minimizing any discomfort.

How old do I have to be to get a piercing?

You MUST be 16 years of age or older to receive a piercing at Sage Beauty and MUST provide a government issued Identification and have a Parent/Guardian present.

Re-piercing old piercings.

There is a good chance you will be able to get a piercing in the same spot again, but the question is WHEN the scar tissue will be healed enough to re pierce it. You will need to have the piercer take a look in person to know when this will be possible.

Does your shop take walk-ins?

At Sage Beauty we prefer you book online to get the time required for the piercing you want! Some days my be slower than other's and we may accept walk-in appointments but to avoid disappointment we reccomend to book online.

Why won't you pierce anyone under the age of 16?

The Alberta Health Services regulations which state on Page 5 that you should undertake the procedure “of [your] own free will,” and because the legal age of consent in Canada is 16, you must be 16 years old to be able to legally consent to getting a piercing.
